I believe every place has a story worth telling.

I'm Ryan Terry, a travel, architecture, and landscape photographer based in Herriman, Utah.

By day, I work in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), helping map and better understand the communities where people live and work. Photography lets me experience those same places through a different lens—not through data, but through light, composition, and quiet moments.

Whether I'm walking the streets of downtown Salt Lake City, exploring the Southern California coastline, or watching the first light reach the Wasatch Mountains, I'm drawn to places that tell a story without saying a word.

I don't chase perfect conditions or dramatic moments. I'm more interested in the details that people often walk past—the way morning light falls across a building, the texture of an old street, or the feeling of standing somewhere that makes you pause for just a moment longer.

My work focuses on travel, architecture, and landscapes, creating photographs that invite people to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the places around them.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me chasing after my two-year-old son, filling another notebook with journal entries written in fountain pen, or planning our family's next adventure.
